These are the current charges. The last variation was January 2019.

Standing charge, meter <15 Amp - ฿ 38.22 p.m.
Standing charge, meter >15 Amp - ฿ 46.16 p.m.

To add to your knowledge base @Yorky.

Industrial rate power is ฿ 6.8 per unit flat rate plus
Fuel tax surcharge - ฿ -0.1160 per unit consumed.
V.A.T. - 7%

My use of 323 Units works out to be ฿2310.92.

On examining my bill expecting that we received no discounts, there was a recalculation removing 20 units.
worked out to be 69.33 Baht adjustment. Thanks for that!
After doing the math it looks like a 3% discount. Now what can I buy with my 70B?

A beer! .....................................

Oh bugger, no........ that's out for the time being.

Ah! The old "what's yours is mine, and what's mine's my own!!" routine then!

12,000 Baht was the amount of our deposit refund. The missus was surprised when I said she could have half............................... surprised because I think she thought she would get all of it !!

She, once again, proved herself smarter than be by committing to extending our pond at a cost of 14,000 Baht.

Attempting to be smart, I said I would cover half of the cost and she could use my half of the deposit accordingly.

To come out of the transaction only 1,000 Baht down feels like a good result........................................;):(

Our April bill was 4,761 after TWO discounts showing. Then PEA sent a text reducing it again to 3,791.41.

Don't pay it.

@Coffee - unfortunately it is not free fro me. I asked for the smallest meter, as it would only be used to trickle charge my batteries when we have a few days of little sun, but they gave me 15A

"Free use of electricity will also be extended to cover more households — those using not more than 150 units per month from up to 90 units at present, he said.
Around 10 million households with meters up to five amperes and using not more than 150 units a month need not pay electricity bills during the three-month period"

I don't think we have seen any discounts yet. The bill is paid by direct debit. See what happens next week, the meter should be read around 17th.

April bill was about 3500 baht, then we had the sms not to pay. Yesterday a sms arrived: bill reduced to about 27oo Baht.
In my PEA account, the new invoice amount was already inserted.

The Meter Inspection Team came out in a van marked "Meter Inspection Team" They tested the meter and found it was working.

Having confirmed that the new meter (fitted about 6 month ago) was working, today they came to replace it "just in case"

So the meter reading guy will not be able to read my meter later this month because "somebody had changed the meter" ;;cry;;

Bill came yesterday, it shows a 246 unit discount about 15%. The price on the bill is the discounted cost. About 1200 baht saving.

I found out yesterday that my April bill was discounted by the same amount. On 17th April, the meter reading said 5,700 baht. However, we pay by direct debit and that is deducted from the bank account about 2 or 3 weeks later than the meter reading. After checking the bank statement for May, the amount deducted was in fact 4,500 baht, some 1,200 baht less, (figures rounded to nearest round number).

My meter is read on the 15th or 16th of the month and it's interesting to see the amount due on my latest bill in comparison with earlier months:
16.1.20 units 397 payable 1628.78
14.2.20 271 1080.58 (i was abroad for 9 days so less aircon)
16.3.20 610 2609.47 (i was abroad for 6 days)
15.4.20 989 4224.89
16.5.20 833 2294.32

I can't read thai however the latest bill shows the units consumed of 833 which have been changed on the right hand side calculation to 557.
However it is calculated I have received a sizeable discount

That's a 40% reduction exactly. A nice round number. Interesting.

Thosewith meters more than five amperes will get deductions from the number of units in excess of what they used in February.

Those using not more than 800 units per month during the period need not pay for the differences. If a household’s power bills are 300 units in February and 700 units in March, they need not pay for the 400 additional units in March and pay the same amount they did in February.

For households that use 800-3,000 units a month, a 50% deduction applies. A household using 500 units in February and 1,000 units in March will pay for 50% of the additional 500 units, or 250 units. When combined with what they paid in February, they need to pay for 750 units in total.

The measure would be valid for three months, from March to May,
