KCI extension today.

Hopefully you'll find KCI open and operational.

Have a safe journey and the forum will await your report.

Possibly this week Yorky will report as well on his 'residence visit' from Immigration Officer(s).
90 day report completed today (29 June 2016) in record time. In at 08.21 and out at 08.22 hours
Regarding KCI 'when closed', the Officer stated.......
Open as usual for the next week or so. 1st July is indeed a Bank Holiday, however Immigration open as usual
However he said KCI Office was closed 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 July for holiday

Thank you for reporting that accurate information.

[I well understsnd that it is always subject to change.]

Whoo-hoo.
Don't forget to roust up two Thai witnesses with ID for the IO's pictures and statements of you residing in your home.

Well that was painless, albeit a bit of a farce. 40 minutes in and out including 10 minutes of craic. They didn't need power for the laptop, only the printer. They required no information from me other than to confirm that the passport I was carrying was the same as the one used for my extension application earlier this month. There was no question of money being exchanged between any of the parties.

I could visit KCI tomorrow for my confirmed extension but it would need to be afternoon so I'll leave it until Friday morning.

[Edit: even with the map (and my address and name are on the gate (in Thai)), they had to ring and ask where we were.]

After noticing the empty beer cases, one of the SOs asked if it would be OK for him to pop round sometime when he was not busy just for the craic.

Painless. Exactly.
It's Thailand. Be happy. Be careful on the highway. ;)

Aren't you going to post up a pic of the pleasant IOs :sunglasses: and Puyais :flushed: visiting at your home or drinking powdered coffee?

What is painful is having to fill up the tank of the truck to return to Kabcheong on Friday given that it is probable that my pension has been hit by an 8% reduction this month.
